Tiger's Silver Two-Iron
Tiger Woods won his third Open Championship and 11th major title with a breathtaking display of precision and control at Hoylake, beating Chris DiMarco by two shots. His strategy of short - but straight - drives with his deadly two-iron and longer shots to the greens paid off, and his superb ball-striking should silence critics of his swing changes, most notably another three-time champion, Nick Faldo.
Original music and lyrics by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

Elin’s beautiful, always very dutiful, watching Tiger play,
This is his big day, an eleventh major-or-or.
Stay short off the tee, that’s his Hoylake strategy, keep on the fairway,
While the others hack from the rough and sa-a-a-and.
And though DiMarco nearly caught up, he sticks to his game plan.
Thwack! Thwack! Tiger’s silver two-iron swung down and sealed their fate.
Smack! Smack! Tiger’s silver two-iron made sure that he stayed straight.
Standing by the tee, Tiger says to his caddie, "Man, I promise you,
The big stick won’t come out of the bag, no-o-o-o.
If I hit a drive, that’s the sure way to take five, so we won’t do that.
Maybe hit three-wood, if the wind should blow-ow-ow-ow".
So when he steps up onto the tee, Steve hands him the iron.
Thwack! Thwack! Tiger’s silver two-iron swung down and sealed their fate.
Smack! Smack! Tiger’s silver two-iron made sure that he stayed straight.
He gets a wifely hug, ‘cos he’s won the Claret Jug
And proved Faldo wrong. Coach Hank gets an embrace from Tiger too-oo-oo-oo.
"Twice I’ve changed my swing, distance isn’t everything, you must have control,
"Be sure the ball won’t roll into bunkers, phew-ew-ew-ew".
By letting others make all the slips, he never falls behind.
Thwack! Thwack! Tiger’s silver two-iron swung down and sealed their fate.
Smack! Smack! Tiger’s silver two-iron made sure that he stayed straight.
Silver two-iron man.
