When I'm sixty-four
(If John Lennon had lived to this day he would have been sixty-four. We like to think that, before he was murdered at the age of forty, he was thinking of taking up golf with Yoko. They would have been, as in everything else they did, inseparable on the fairways.)

Original music and lyrics by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

When I get older, losing my drive,
Many years from now.
Will you still be playing with me in the Cup,
Even if I can’t hole a putt.
If I don’t get past the ladies’ tee,
And I ruin our score.
Will you still hold me, or will you scold me,
When I’m sixty-four.

You’ll be older too,
But if you get the yips,
I wouldn’t leave you.

I could be handy, cleaning your shoes,
When the ground is wet.
You can play the medal every month of the year,
Sunday morning go for a beer.
Losing your ball when I hit in the reeds,
Foursomes are a chore.
Will you still hold me, or will you scold me,
When I’m sixty-four.

Every winter we could go and play golf
On the Costa del Sol, if it’s not too dear.
We shall shank and slice.
Grandchildren will beat us,
But that’s rather nice.

Give me your scorecard, count all the shots,
Deduct handicap.
Sign it at the bottom and then hand it in,
Fingers crossed that this time you’ll win.
If you play badly, try and stay calm,
I will keep your score.
Will you still hold me, or will you scold me,
When I’m sixty-four.

Played by more Duffers than any other ball
Play the Great Greta - the Duffer's most trusted weapon
The golfer's bra - supporting women's golf for twenty years
For the Duffer whose game really stinks!
It's a pleasure to play badly in the Duffer's favourite shoe. Sand, water and rough-proof, even after 150 shots!
The ball even Duffers can't cut!
