When I was just a chubby boy
I asked my father, 'What will I be?
Will I play golf Dad,
Will I be rich?'
Here's what he said to me:
'Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be,
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera.
Now eat up Monty.'
When I grew up, got down to scratch,
I asked my trainer, 'What lies ahead?
Will I win Majors
Year after year?'
Here's what my trainer said:
'Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be,
The future's not ours to see,
Que sera, sera.
Now practise Monty.'
Now I have trophies of my own,
I ask the public, 'What’s come of me?
Why still no majors
Though I am rich?'
They tell me tenderly:
'Que sera, sera,
Whatever won’t be, won’t be,
You’ll go down in history.
Que sera, sera.
No Majors Monty.'
Que sera sera.
