Down Under
or The Ballad of Michael Campbell. This song is fondly dedicated to the 2005 US Open Champion, who took the title by two shots from world no. 1 Tiger Woods. In the process, 'Cambo' brought his home nation, New Zealand, to a standstill as he became only the second Kiwi to win a major championship (Sir Bob Charles was the first in 1963).

Warming up and trying to loosen
On a winning trail, all eyes on Goosen
Ran into Tiger Woods, he made me nervous
He took me in and gave me breakfast
And he said...
"Do you come from a land down under?
Where sheep cajole and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear my thunder?
You better run, you better take cover!"
Saw a caddie who was built like Rambo
Called him Steve, he called me Cambo
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
From his stare thought he’d give me a knuckle sandwich
And he said...
"I too come from a land down under
Where Tiger’s name casts men asunder
Listen here, don’t you steal his thunder,
You better run, you better take cover!"
[Break]
Sitting in a room in Pinehurst
I feel so good, I just wanna burst
I said to Tiger, "Man you tried to catch me
Tried so hard to stop the flying Kiwi"
And he said...
"Oh! So you come from a land down under! (oh yeah yeah)
Where women booze and men chunder!
You could hear, you could hear my thunder
You didn’t run, you didn’t take cover!"
"Living in a land down under
Where sheep are worried and Tigers blunder!
You could hear, you could hear my thunder
You didn’t run, you didn’t take cover!"
"Living in a land down under
Where Kiwis win and Yanks wonder!
You could hear, you could hear my thunder
You didn’t run, you didn’t take cover!"
