Your Monthly Golf Horoscope

	AQUARIUS --- 21st Jan. to 19th Feb.	The number '7' will have special significance this month. Hole No. 7, your 7-iron or 7-wood, anyone whose handicap ends in 7, stroke index 7 and, of course, a 7 on your card. A word of warning to our Aquarians in Japan; beware any opponent smoking Mild Seven cigarettes. Do not play for money with him.
	PISCES --- 20th Feb. to 20 Mar.	All you Pisces should consider using a three-wood off the tee this month, as your driver will have more than its usual attraction to water. Saturn is up to his old tricks again, so expect some bad kicks and bounces as the month wears on. You will probably lose a dozen balls or more. Stock up now!
	ARIES --- 21st Mar. to 20th Apr.	You will get a golf tip from a friend or a magazine that seems like the answer to all your problems. But don't overdo it just because you're hitting the ball so well. You will pull a muscle and be off golf for weeks. Your new-found confidence will also tempt you to get out those long irons. Resist at all costs.
	TAURUS --- 21st Apr. to 21st May	You bulls are using too much right hand this month. If you're not hitting it fat, you will spend a lot of time searching the trees and rough on the left. Pull down from the top with the left hand. Ladies - if you don't already own one, this is a good time to buy a 9-wood and retire your 5-iron.
	GEMINI --- 22nd May to 21st Jun.	As usual, Gemini, indecision is costing you shots. When you find yourself "between clubs", take the bigger one and swing easy. Don't go for the big carry over water, however hard your partner or your opponent presses you. If you're in two minds about playing golf or staying home, Venus is lurking this month, so take a little break from golf.
	CANCER --- 22nd Jun. to 22nd Jul.	One of your playing partners will turn up with a brand new, super-oversized driver, and hit the ball out of sight. He or she will kindly offer to let you have a go with it. Please don't. Otherwise you will go right underneath the ball, leaving nasty scuff marks on the top of their driver which can't be wiped off. Embarrassing.
	LEO --- 23rd Jul. to 22nd Aug.	Leo, you are dangerous to be around this month! Your shots are heading left and right, but never centre. Practice shouting 'fore' in the shower before you leave home, and make sure your liability insurance is up to date. Take extra special care when playing near anyone wearing pink or red, or better still, wait until they're out of range.
	VIRGO --- 23rd Aug. to 22nd Sep.	'Never up, never in' could be your motto this month Virgos. Those niggling little problems at work seem to be sapping all your energy. Put a couple of bananas in your golf bag and eat them on the 7th and the 12th (NOT the 13th!). On the green, try to imagine the hole is 3 feet beyond its actual location. Unless you have a 2 foot putt, of course.
	LIBRA --- 23rd Sep. to 22nd Oct.	Ah Librans! Balance, balance, if only you had it. Last month you couldn't buy a putt, but you were smoking them off the tee. This month you'll hole everything on the greens, but drive in the trees and have at least one shank. That's life. You will also lose a lot of tee-pegs, but find a green one. What idiot invented green tee-pegs?
	SCORPIO --- 23rd Oct. to 22nd Nov.	Your putting is worse than ever, so with the Moon's help this is the time for a radical change. You could try cross-handed, but I recommend the claw grip and a belly putter. If nothing else, this will feel so odd that you will have to spend some time on the practice green, which is probably what you needed in the first place.
	SAGITTARIUS --- 23rd Nov. to 21st Dec.	Sagittarians, this month is yours for the taking! In fact, the next six weeks should see you playing out of your skin. Fight the temptation to try and work out why - you could lose it all through 'analysis paralysis'. Just grip it and rip it. Now would be a good time to play a few Nassaus and roll over the winnings to the following week. Enjoy!
	CAPRICORN --- 22nd Dec. to 20th Jan.	You will find yourself playing with someone who has an 'R' in their name. Keep a close eye on them if it's more than just a friendly, especially in the rough. They will be tempted to improve their lie. Your iron shots will lack crispness. Try gripping a little down the shaft and taking a three-quarter backswing.
