 The brand recognised today around the world as Gobra has come a long way since its modest beginnings in the early 1980's in a disused cotton mill in Yorkshire.
"The Golfing Brassiere Manufacturing Company Ltd", as it was then known, was the brainchild of Joseph King, who with the untiring help of his wife Diana transformed a three employee cottage industry into an international conglomerate, employing almost two thousand people in sixteen countries.
Renamed "Gobra" in 1985 at the suggestion of the Kings' daughter Victoria, the company's products today help millions of recreational sportsmen and women enjoy their chosen pastime with a hitherto undreamed of level of comfort in sporting undergarments, as well as enhancing the performances of players, from the lowliest amateurs to the world's top professionals, who choose Gobra equipment to help them maximise their skills.
 The company has been family-owned since its foundation in 1981, and is proud of its independence. Joseph remains at the helm as Chairman and Chief Executive, although Diana has taken a back seat to make room for her talented children to work their way up through the ranks. As the family likes to put it: "As long as there is a King at the helm, the sportswomen of the world will be our Queens."

By clicking on the menu on the left you will find out much about us, but this simple tool in no way tries to be exhaustive in describing the company, our staff, our products or our philosphy.
